Secure Login provides several customization options on the Main settings dialog:

Automatically search for login data and highlight form fields

If you enable this option, the Secure Login icon will turn grey by default and Secure Login will check every visited website if any saved passwords are available.
If passwords are found for the current website, the icon will turn golden, indicating that you can login to the current website.
With this option enabled Secure Login will also automatically highlight the login fields:

You can customize the highlight color by clicking on the orange button to the right of this option.

Although the code to search for available logins for each website is written as resource friendly as possible this option is disabled by default to follow a puristic approach to use as less system resources as possible.

Skip duplicate login forms

If several login forms are found on a website Secure Login will show you a selection menu on login, similar to the multiple user selection.
This option prevents the selection to show up if those login forms are duplicates with the same login page as target.

Submit login form automatically

If you login with Secure Login (see Usage), your username and password will be inserted into the login fields and the login form will be submitted automatically. If you don't like this feature you can disable this option.
Note that disabling this feature has no effect when "Activate JavaScript protection on login" is enabled and the current website is not listed as exception for the Javascript Protection.

Ask for confirmation if changing domain on login

If this option is enabled, the second level domain of the login website is compared to the second level domain of the current page when logging in. If they do not match a dialog prompt is displayed for confirmation.
This additional security measure has become somewhat obsolete since Firefox Password Manager stores the destination site for saved passwords to prevent sending login data to malicious websites.1
